Two clients.
Same experience level.
Same job goals.
Same advice from me.
One lands interviews fast.
The other stays stuck.
The difference?
One treated job searching like a workout.
The other just watched the fitness videos.
Let me explain.
▶︎ Client A rewrote their resume with intention.
▶︎ Reached out to new people on LinkedIn weekly.
▶︎ Posted regularly to stay visible.
They showed up and did the reps.
▶︎ Client B skimmed the advice.
▶︎ Tweaked a word here or there.
▶︎ Liked a few posts and waited.
They were basically walking around the gym holding a protein shake, hoping for abs.
You don’t get stronger by thinking about lifting.
You get stronger by showing up and doing the work.
Even if it’s awkward.
Even if it’s slow at first.
If you’re not seeing results, ask yourself:
Am I training? Or just spectating?
Because career momentum works like fitness:
→ It’s built through small, consistent actions.
→ You don’t need to crush it every day. You just need to start moving.
→ The people who win aren’t more talented. They’re just more consistent.
Here are 5 daily “career reps” that actually build momentum:
1. Resume Reps
Edit the top ⅓ of your resume to match the job you’re applying for.
→ Nobody really reads the whole thing. The top sells the story.
2. Connection Reps
Send 1 message per day to someone in your industry.
→ Most great, unexpected opportunities come through humans, not portals.
3. Visibility Reps
Post once a week. Comment on others’ posts daily and reshare what you find useful.
→ Be seen. Be useful. Stay relevant.
4. Mindset Reps
Track your wins. Revisit your highlights weekly.
→ Confidence isn’t magic. It’s memory.
5. Energy Reps
Take care of your sleep, food, and movement.
→ Burnout doesn’t land offers. Energy does.
So, what’s your next rep?
👉 I’m dropping a free downloadable habit tracker, the same one my clients use to land $140K–$300K offers.
It’ll be live on my site under “Express Coaching” by next Sunday.
Keep an eye out 👀 — this one’s a game changer.
You’ve got this.
Now get in the arena.
Cheers,
Eli
